Li Bai

Professor Li Bai is the director of Computer Fusion Laboratory

Qiangguo Ren

Mr. James (Qiangguo) Ren is a PhD student. His current research interest is multi-agent system, optimization and smart grid.

Ying Feng

Ying Feng is a master student. She received her bachelor of science degree in Optical Information Science and Technology from the Beijing Jiaotong Univerisity. After working for several years, she came back to graduate school seeking academic record enhancement and professional development.

Yiran Li

Mr. Yiran Li is working on humanoid robot NAO project. His current research interest is deep learning.

Danfeng Xie

Mr. Danfeng Xie is currently a PhD student working on medical image processing project. His research interests include deep learning, machine learning, computer vision, medical image analysis, robotics, and fault diagnosis.

Hanlu Yang

Ms. Catherine (Hanlu Yang) is a PhD. student in Temple University. Her research interests are robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning.

Alex Wroblewski

Mr. Alex Wroblewski is an undergraduate student working on the humanoid robot SMART project, focusing on ROS architecture and data collection tools.

Carole Tucker

Dr. Tucker is currently Department Chair and PhD Program Director in Physical Therapy Department at Temple University. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy and her Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Boston University. She earned her Ph.D. at the State University of New York (SUNY) Buffalo in Exercise Science/Biomechanics. She has been certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as a Pediatric Clinical Specialist since 1996. Dr Tucker is also an American College of Sports Medicine Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist. Her clinical practice has primarily focuses in pediatrics within both acute care and school-based settings. She was a member of the Scientific Staff of Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from 2004-2008 during which time she served as Director of the Motion Analysis Laboratory. She serve on the Functioning, Disability Reference Group of the World Health Organization. Her current research focuses on biomechanics and motor control of gait; development of patient-report outcome measures of health status in pediatric populations using modern measurement approaches; bioinformatics application in learning health system; application of pattern recognition and advanced statistical analytical approaches to large data sets; and development and application of biosensors and related technology to improve function and mobility in individuals with disabilities. She has received funding from the Whitaker Biomedical Engineering Foundation, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, NIH, and the DoD. Dr. Tucker is currently Co-Investigator on the NIH funded grant “Pediatric PROMIS: Advancing the Measurement and Conceptualization of Child Health.” Dr Tucker is on the editorial boards of Pediatric Physical Therapy, Journal of Neuroengineering and Rehabilitation, and Physical and Occupational Therapy in Pediatrics.

Heidi Grunwald

Dr. Heidi Grunwald was previously an assistant vice president for research and strategic initiatives at Temple University, overseeing the financial planning of the pre-award research portfolio including the offices of Technology Transfer and Clinical Trials. She was also involved in large-scale research development and worked as liaison to the vice president for government and public affairs as the primary contact for all Temple University federal earmark requests. Heidi is also currently the Managing Director for the Institute for Survey Research at Temple University. Recent interests include the use of cross-classified hierarchical linear and propensity score models to examine quasi-experimental data on juvenile recidivism, and youth functional assessment scales. She holds a B.A. degree in mathematics, M.A. in mathematics education, M.S. in statistics and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in Higher Education Administration, Research, Evaluation and Assessment.

Saroj Biswas

Saroj Biswas is the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering specializing in control and optimization of dynamic systems, electrical machines and power systems, multiagent systems, and distributed parameter systems.
